Wow, I can’t believe a week has leapt by since my last post. Thank you, thank you, to all who wrote (or called) to ask if I were OK (I am!). Please forgive the lack of contact; I’ve just been slammed with work. Trying to put out fires, catch up on the work, and balance out a few homelife bits have kept me hopping, and unable to really be back in touch the way I want to, especially with the folks I met at the conference.

Now I’m off to another conference, this one in beautiful Amarillo. The Frontiers in Writing conference looks amazing, and I’m hoping it will be as much a blessing as BRCWC.

It’s also crowded with a touch of nostalgia. My contact with the conference is college friend Sharon, whom I miss A LOT, even though we’ve stayed in touch over the years. I can’t wait to meet her children. Also, one of the speakers is screenwriter Rick Reichmann, who taught my first screenwriting class (um…a few years ago). Rick was actually responsible for my first (adult) writing award, which came from the Houston International Film Festival.

Lots of ties for me in Texas (waving to Dee, if she’s reading!).
