Today is Easter Sunday, and all day long, I’ve been thankful. For Christ. For Rachel and those who love her and care for her. For my friends. And for the encouraging and delightful comments about my writing that are keeping me buoyed, especially during the last couple of months. The past few weeks have been creatively drained and trying. Work and family stress has sucked a lot out of me, and I wasn’t sure I could see my way through the revision of the new book.
Truthfully, my work has been shoddy, and I wasn’t sure I had it in me to turn the book around, to use the revision to bring the manuscript “up to par.”
Then the reviews on The Taking of Carly Bradford began arriving. . . . and words from readers, which mean more to me than you can possibly imagine. They come at a moment when my world is about to shift dramatically, and I cherish each and every one.
Romantic Times magazine gave the book 4 1/2 stars and a stellar review, but in the long run, it’s the words from those who chose to read the book for pleasure, for the suspense, for the love of LIS books, that mean the most to me.
So I’m feeling grateful and rewarded today. You inspire me.

I am glad that us as readers inspire you. I am also glad the book has been getting great reviews. It still takes my breath away just thinking about it. Happy Easter! I hope you and your family have a blessed one!
