Writers do a lot of dreaming, much of it while fully awake. And I plan to do some this afternoon. But right now, I’m paying bills and staying at home because of Nashville’s gas shortage, so I suddenly felt the need for a little childhood nostaglia. And I felt like sharing what happens to be one of my favorite songs. With a little side “drama,” of course.

Funny story: when I was a kid I used to tell everyone that my daddy looked just like John Denver. He didn’t really, but that’s how I saw him. Oh, how I miss thinking like a kid!
