“I’ve Got This Story. . .”

The three-year-old blonde cherub had her grandmothers enchanted. Even though her speech still slurred and stumbled at times, the story of a shopping trip with her parents sounded like so much fun . . . until she spilled out a couple of unsavory events that shocked them both…

When my parents returned, they found their mothers angry and me with a satisfied grin.

Of course, none of it was true. When they tried to figure out how I could weave such a tale at such a young age, they didn’t have to look far.

I come from a long line of storytellers, most of them men. As my mother would tell me later, that day they realized I spent way too much time on the porch with the yarn spinners.

In fact, most of the pictures taken of me during that time caught me either mid-tale or mid-song.

Becoming a writer was merely a matter of time….

These three proved I could do it, although I have to admit I’m most proud of being a part of Steeple Hill’s Love Inspired Suspense line. I’m working on other novels, and I hope they’ll find their way into your home and hearts soon.
